SPIRAL TRANCE
New single Freight Train released to accompany graphic novel
Posted: Aug 12, 2010
Milwaukee, Wis., August 11, 2010 - The Milwaukee-based hard rock band Spiral Trance is pleased to announce the official release of their brand new single Freight Train for inclusion with the 2010 graphic novel publication BB Wolf and the Three LP's. It can be heard at www.myspace.com/spiraltrance.
The graphic novel was created by the national award-winning team of illustrator Richard Koslowski, whose credits include The King, and The Three Geeks among others, and author JD Arnold. The book is already garnering critical praise, and USA Today cited BB Wolf and the Three LP's as one of the top books to purchase at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con.
Based around main character BB Wolf, a farmer and blues musician living in the Mississippi Delta in the early twenties, the story is a dark, brilliant take on the classic fairy tale, The Big Bad Wolf and the Three Little Pigs, known to millions worldwide. Segregation, lynching, and racism are all commonplace within this bloody tale, filled with great loss and a tearful, unjust fate. The discovery of The Lost Tapes of BB Wolf and the Howlers features music by some of the Midwest’s finest musicians including Spiral Trance, Justin Rolbiecki of The Vega Star, and Big Wish among others.

In the past year and a half, Spiral Trance has completed five national tours, amassed a loyal fan-base and created a viral internet presence that promotes a personal bond between the band and its listeners. Having earned several local and national awards, most recently as the 2010 WAMI Hard Rock Artist of the Year, the band's latest release, All In Due Time, continues to gain critical praise across the country.

Music journalists, music program directors, promoters, and agents should contact Spiral Trance for additional information and booking dates.

PRESS RELEASE

For Immediate Release

Spiral Trance's single The Me You See released on Rock Band Network for XBox

Milwaukee, Wis., June 28th, 2010
- Milwaukee-based hard rock band Spiral Trance is pleased to announce that their single The Me You See is now available on the Rock Band Network for Xbox 360. Fans can now play The Me You See for drums, vocals, guitar, and bass on the internationally successful video game, Rock Band 2, in their own homes.

The Rock Band Network was created with the independent band in mind. The video game Rock Band originally only featured popular mainstream acts, but now unknown and independent bands can share the same spotlight as bands like Aerosmith and Metallica in homes all over the world.

Spiral Trance partnered with the Milwaukee-based company Rock Your Own Band to get The Me You See ready for play. The entire process, from programming to submission to acceptance by the Rock Band Network, takes some time, but the members of Spiral Trance and their fans agree that it is well worth the wait. The Me You See can be downloaded for Xbox 360 at this link: http://www.rockband.com/songs/UGC_5003015

Music journalists, music program directors, promoters, and agents should contact Spiral Trance for additional information and booking dates.

The Me You See video reviewed by The Examiner

Spiral Trance is a band on the verge of explosion. They may not be a name you know yet, but you will. The experimental sound that this band brings to the table has not quite been defined, with a unique mix of hard yet introspective rock that defies categorization. Paul Karcz, Bill Lyles, Matt Stevens and Andy Zupke have already released two albums (All in Due Time, As We Are) and toured the country. And now their video debut, “The Me You See”, displays the intense artistic performance quality of Spiral Trance with a production that exalts all the expressive nuances of the music.

The song lyrics are depicted in the video with an angst so eloquent it would seem a contradiction, yet the two elements combine as if they were designed to be one. "The Me You See" tells a story of the illusions and facades that can be so much easier to palate than the truth of human nature. The video by Producer and Director Jimmy Sammarco showcases refined and personality-rich production quality that Milwaukee is lucky to have in the local music scene. Be sure to check out the debut video and more here: www.jimmymakesmovies.com.

The performance quality and the difference in their sound set Spiral Trance apart in the modern rock genre. Their debut video gives them the platform they need to shine on and captures the borderline progressive edge that proves most rewarding. To witness what Spiral Trance is all about, check out their web site for performance dates and album information: www.myspace.com/spiraltrance.

Riding on their recent signing with Rat-Pak Records, this Milwaukee based metal group has produced a diverse and heavy album. The true eccentricities of guitar effects really come through their grooving metal sound. The quartet has a refreshingly unique sound that doesn’t allow itself to delve too far into any single genre. Punky, hardcore vocals and melodic singing over driving songs help set SPIRAL TRANCE apart. Each song presents a different characteristic of the band and drives the listener to want more. The album will draw in hard rock and metal fans alike. Its sound allows itself to be heavy, but really draws on the chorus hooks of their lighter relatives. With national recognition and a growing following, the Milwaukee natives have a bright future.

Help Spiral Trance!!
Posted: Aug 23, 2009
Hey guys! Spiral Trance needs your help.
The Shepherd Express Magazine in Milwaukee is doing their annual "Best of Milwaukee" voting polls. This year, with your help, Spiral Trance could take home the Best Rock Band award!
The voting process is a little quirky, so here's some directions to help you out:
First, go to ExpressMilwaukee.com. At the top of the screen there you'll see a logo that looks like this:

Click on that thing!! It'll take you to the voting form. There's several pages to get through before you hit the Arts and Entertainment form, which has the music entries. But in order for your ballot to count, you have to vote for at least 25 categories, so make sure to fill in some of the blanks along the way!
When you get to the Arts and Entertainment page, select Spiral Trance for Best Rock Band, and Paul Karcz for Best Male Vocalist. And while you're at it, help out our good friends Kramp and Adler by voting for them for Best Radio Personality. The rest is up to you guys! You will have to put in your e-mail address on each page of the form.
Don't forget, you have to fill in at least 25 lines for your ballot to count.
Thank you to everyone who votes. Every vote is a small step towards our success, and every single one of our fans is a deeply appreciated member of the Spiral Trance family. Much rock to you!
